The First Training Protocol under MEGIP was signed

Within the scope of the Vocational Education and Skills Development Cooperation Protocol (MEGIP), a protocol was signed between our Chamber, İş-Kur and Biotex Medikal Tekstil İthalat Export Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi. It was held at Rize Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the participation of Rize Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Şaban Aziz Karamehmetoğlu, Rize Provincial Director of Labor and Employment Agency Hasan Kiraz and Biotex Medical Firm Official Hızır Bayraktaroğlu.

President Karamehmetoğlu made a statement on the subject before the protocol signing ceremony:

“MEGIP; It is a vocational training and skill development cooperation protocol between İŞKUR and TOBB, which includes combining theoretical and practical training in public-private sector cooperation in order to train the workforce with the qualifications demanded by the labor market.

Through our Chamber, District Chambers of Commerce, Commodity Exchange and Provincial Directorate of İŞKUR, vocational trainings in the quality required by the sector are organized in cooperation with employers.

Employers can request quota up to 50% of the number of employees. If there is a demand for at least 5 people in a profession, an evaluation can be made.

In this context, a MEGIP course program for 10 people will be organized in the business line of sewing medical products with Biotex Medikal Tekstil İthalat İhracat Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi. Within the scope of the program, at least 50% of the trainees will be employed by the applicant company, provided that it is not less than 120 days.

İŞKUR will pay daily allowance, general health insurance and work accident and occupational disease premiums to the trainees participating in our theoretical and practical training program.

We will continue to work to open such vocational training courses for our companies. Of course, at this stage, we also welcome requests from our members. We would like to thank our MEGIP Provincial Working Group members and our applicant company, who contributed to the opening of this first course. I wish us all the best.”

In his speech before the signing ceremony, Provincial Director of Labor and Employment Agency Hasan Kiraz stated that they prepared a signature protocol for the first of the 10-person MEGIP project. Wishing this protocol to be a milestone, Kiraz stated that our other businesses will also have the opportunity to train qualified personnel with the MEGIP Project and thus contribute to employment. Kiraz stated that they hope that these protocols will continue.

After the evaluations of President Karamehmetoğlu and İŞKUR Provincial Director Kiraz, the protocol signing ceremony was held.

After the protocol, President Şaban Aziz Karamehmetoğlu, Speaker of the Assembly Şükrü Cevahir, Provincial Director of İŞKUR Hasan Kiraz, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors Cem Temizel and Murat Artan met with Mehmet Üzümcü and İsmail Selim Bilgin, Members of the Board of Directors of our Chamber.
